Born in 618 CE, Jalon Renael was the son of one of the powerful Savorn families. Long before the War of the Thorns broke out, Jalon was given to the temple at Whitestone Grove as an oblate. From the age of thirteen he became obsessed with the Elnean tales and began to record them. Of all the compilers of the Elnean Scrolls, Jalon is by far the most famous.
He became the first Patriarch and Presbytir Oracle of the Temple of the High Worship in 654 CE when the Whitestone clerics unanimously elected him and chose his compilation as the core canon of the new religion.
